Round table on the case of Olaolu Femi at the Ombudsman's office

November 6th-2012 Secretariat of the Ukrainian Ombudsman held a round table discussion on the anniversary of the detention Olaolu Sunkanmi Femi, a student from Nigeria, who is accused of the attempted murder of two or more persons and  of hooliganizm with using the object pre-prepared to make body injuries.Protection Olaolu SF are providing  lawyers of our firm Gavrish Ludmila and Minaev Andrey.

During the round table has been announced about the numerous violations of law committed during the investigation of a criminal case and of serious violation of the right to protection Olaolu S.F., which before the beginning of trial has not been acquainted with the criminal case and did not know what is the basis accusation.

Authorized representative Elena Ostrovskaya  raised a question about the absence of the order of involving interpreters in criminal proceedings. The Commissioner proposes to create a single register of translators who are authorized to participate in the investigation.

The lawyers of our firm have expressed their opinion on the incorrectness of the qualification of actions Olaolu SF, which, in their opinion, do not contain signs of attempted murder and hooliganism.

The representatives of the Embassy of Nigeria, which took part in the round table, said they would support his compatriot.
